The impressive view of Borobudur Temple is one of Amanjiwo’s fascinations. Enjoy Borobudur Temple from far and from inside.
We take you to two small Buddhist temples that are included in UNESCO World Heritage Site first. And then, we will go up to a hill, Amanjiwo is located in middle in the hill. You will be impressed with the perfect harmony with its beautiful architecture and dense forest around it. Enjoy your beautiful lunch time while admiring the view from your table. After lunch, let’s move to Borobudur Temple. You will feel nice to explore Borobudur Temple in quiet time of the sunset and the twilight. The temple tells you a lot regarding to Buddhism, its architecture and its history.

Lunch at Amanjiwo
- Amanjiwo provides a set menu that consists of appetizers, main dish, dessert and drink.
- Amanjiwo has Indonesian menu and Western menu. You can choose one menu there.
- Vegetarian/vegan menu, allergy countermeasures menu or lunch for kids are available if you inform us in advance(at latest 2 days before of your tour day).
- There is no dress code to have lunch in Amanjiwo, but too casual clothes are not preferred.
Borobudur Sunset
- Sometimes visitors are requried to submit a passport. Just in case please bring your passport.
- A rental flashlight is included in the tour cost. In the case of rain, a raincoat is ready for you.
- There is no dress code to visit the temple.
There are many stairs, so walking shoes are recommended.
Can I skip Mendut Temple and Pawon Temple?
Yes, you can. Please inform us when you book a tour, so we can show you the tour cost that omit Pawon Temple and Mendut Temple Ticket.
Can I know the menu of lunch/alcohol of Amanjiwo's in advance?
Yes, you can. We will send you the menu list.
Can I see a room or a swimming pool after lunch in Amanjiwo?
The customers for meals are allowed to get in the restaurant only.
Is it possible to see Borobudur Temple from Amanjiwo?
Yes, you can enjoy great view of Borobudur Temple from the restaurant.
Can I add some dishes from a la carte menu on that day in Amanjiwo?
Yes, you can. Please pay for the dishes you added directly to Amanjiwo.
Can I bring my favorite alcohol in Amanjiwo?
We will ask for permission to Amanjiwo with your detailed information. Please let us know the brand of alcohol and number of bottle(s) in advance(At latest 2 days before of your tour day).
If rains, is the sunset visit held?
In the case of normal rain, Borobudur Temple still open for the sunset. As long as Borobudur Temple opens the sunset visit, we don't ask you to cancel the sunset visit. But if you would like to cancel the sunset visit because of the bad weather, you can make a decision before you enter the temple if you cancel all or switch with Borobudur regular visit. If you cancel all, we will make a refund for Borobudur Sunset Ticket. If you enter the temple as regular visit, we will make a refund for the amount of difference of Borobudur Sunset Ticket and Borobudur Temple Regular Ticket. As the dinner that is included in this tour is from Borobudur Sunset Ticket, if the sunset visit is cancelled, the dinner is not provided neither.
Can I visit the museums of Borobudur Temple Park?
Yes, you can. No need to pay for entrance of the museums. We will pick you up earlier than the time in the itinerary to make time for the museums. Please let us know when you book a tour if you would like to visit the museum.
Can I skip the dinner that is included in the tour itinerary?
Yes, you can. But the dinner in the tour itinerary is the dinner at Manohara Resto that is included in the sunset ticket. So, skipping the dinner means waiving the dinner, we can't make a refund nor discount for the dinner.
Can I have vegetarian/vegan dinner?
Manohara Resto offers you a buffet with some vegetarian/vegan selections. So you can select your preferred foods.
