Overview
Enjoy the most peaceful time of Borobudur Temple with the breathtaking sunset
Borobudur Sunset is good for the travelers who love serenity. It’s a special experience in magic hour.
This tour starts in early afternoon. First we will take you to two small temples that are related to Borobudur Temple. Then, let’s explore in Borobudur Temple in the time that the evening just begin. If the air’s condition is good, you can see the twin moutains too. As soon as the normal visitors are gone at 17:00, silence just cover the temple. This is a sign of the special time for the sunset visitors. You can explore in the temple or take photos in soft light of magic hour until it totally turn dark. Before going back, enjoy buffet dinner at Manohara Resto.

Borobudur Sunset
- Sometimes visitors are requried to submit a passport. Just in case please bring your passport.
- A rental flashlight is included in the tour cost. In the case of rain, a raincoat is ready for you.
- There is no dress code to visit the temple.
There are many stairs, so walking shoes are recommended.
If rains, is this tour held?
As long as Borobudur Temple opens the sunset visit, we don't ask you to cancel the tour. If you would like to cancel the tour because of the bad weather on your tour day, please inform us your cancellation 1 hour 30 minutes before of your pick-up time by Email or WhatsApp* so that we can cancel your tour without cancellation charge. If you cancel your tour after the time, the cancellation charge is imposed according to our Cancellation Policy.
*Cancellation by phone call is not acceptable.
Can I visit the museums of Borobudur Temple Park?
Yes, you can. No need to pay for entrance of the museums. We will pick you up earlier than the time in the itinerary to make time for the museums. Please let us know when you book a tour if you would like to visit the museum.
Can I skip Mendut Temple and Pawon Temple?
Yes, you can. Please inform us when you book a tour, so we can show you the tour cost that omit Pawon Temple and Mendut Temple Ticket.
Can I skip the dinner that is included in the tour itinerary?
Yes, you can. But the dinner in the tour itinerary is the dinner at Manohara Resto that is included in the sunset ticket. So, skipping the dinner means waiving the dinner, we can't make a refund nor discount for the dinner.
Can I have vegetarian/vegan dinner?
Manohara Resto offers you a buffet with some vegetarian/vegan selections. So you can select your preferred foods.

- Send you your guide or driver name and contact number 1 day before of your tour day.
